Rutland has two large Civic Amenity Sites at the following locations:

Cottesmore Civic Amenity Site

Burley Road, Cottesmore, LE15 7BZ 


Cottesmore (Open 7 days a week) 

April to September - Open 10.00am to 6.00pm

October to March - Open 10.00am to 4.00pm


North Luffenham Civic Amenity Site

Willoughby Road, Morcott, LE15 9DW


North Luffenham (Open Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

April to September - Open 10.00am to 6.00pm

October to March - 10.00am to 4.00pm


You can dispose of the following items and materials at both Cottesmore and North Luffenham Civic Amenity Sites:

  • Cardboard and paper
  • Carpet
  • CDs and DVDs
  • Clothes and shoes
  • Electrical appliances
  • Fluorescent tubes and light bulbs
  • Food tins and drinks cans
  • Fridges, freezers and other white goods

  • Hardcore and rubble (non commercial)
  • Household and garden chemicals
  • Mattresses

Site rules

Both our Civic Amenity Sites operate in accordance with the following rules:  


  • No commercial waste is accepted
  • No clinical waste is accepted
  • No asbestos-based materials are accepted
  • Any children under the age of 16 must remain in cars at all times while on the site
