A £400,000 investment in new machinery has been announced by Welsh recycling company, Siteserv Recycling (Waste Paper) Limited.

Specialising in the processing of all grades of fibre, Siteserv has a wide range of processing partners throughout the UK, Europe and throughout the Rest of the World. Recent growth and improved partner relations has spurred the company to invest over £400k in a state-of-the-art shredding facility designed to securely destruct all fibre grades.

The most significant part of the investment includes the purchase of a Lindner Micromat 2500 high speed single shaft shredder, but the investment also includes a fire suppression and dust extraction system along with new conveyors to integrate the equipment into the current equipment on site. Made in Austria, the machine has been supplied by Manchester supplier, Mach-Tech Services.

The investment will allow Siteserv to expand its confidential office paper collections in addition to shredding other items including, but not limited to uniforms, harddrives etc. The Micromat, in tandem with the current paper conditioner, will allow unrivalled throughputs and will result in the plant being one of the largest secure destruction facilities in the UK with the ability to process 12-15tph (ton per hour) of material.

Chris Smith from Siteserv Waste Paper, says:

“Our decision to invest significantly in new shredding technology comes as a result of an increase in the amount of work we are doing with publishers’ distribution centres and book manufacturers. The industry has very strict regulations surrounding the secure destruction of books, with many dictating a very small particle size once shredded. We want to be able to offer a service above and beyond the standard requirements.”

Siteserv Recycling (Waste Paper) is a family run business, operating throughout the UK. Specialising in the processing of all grades of fibre, Siteserv offer both sustainable and financially beneficial outlets for processed paper material. Recent growth and improved partner relations allows them to offer bespoke solutions to fibre producing businesses of almost any size, anywhere in the UK.
